Starter — Td4 engine (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Models with automatic transmission installed: Remove the battery support tray.

SYSTEM OF STARTING THE ENGINE AND CHARGING THE BATTERY, REPAIR WORKS, Support tray - storage battery.

3. Remove the engine soundproofing cover if installed.

ENGINE - Td4, Intake and Exhaust Camshafts, Engine Soundproofing, Models up to May 2002.

4. Remove the terminal cover, unscrew the nut and disconnect the 2 wires from the starter solenoid.



5. Turn away 2 bolts and take a starter.

Installation

1. Clear a starter and interfaced surfaces of a dirt. Clean the drive pin and pin hole.

2. Install the starter, tighten the mounting bolts and tighten them to a torque of 45 Nm.


3. Connect the wire to the starter solenoid and tighten the nut to 13 Nm. Install the terminal cover.

4. Connect the connector to the starter solenoid.

5. Replace the engine soundproofing cover, if equipped.

6. Models with automatic transmission installed: Install the battery support tray.

7. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
