Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover if installed.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and Exhaust Camshafts, Engine Soundproofing, Models up to May 2002.
3. Remove the lower engine protection shield.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine lower shield.
4. Turn the steering wheel to the extreme right position.
5. Turn away 3 bolts and remove the right mudguard.
6. Install the LRT-12-163 on the implement belt, turning the tensioner in the appropriate counter-clockwise direction to remove the belt from the pulleys.
7. Remove the accessory drive belt.
Installation
1. Make sure the transmission pulleys are not damaged or dirty.
CAUTION: Check the condition of the belt for wear. Cracks in the side of the belt are not damage. A drive belt that has lost or missing parts must be replaced.
2. Using the LRT-12-163 to hold the belt tensioner in the loose position and assist, install the accessory drive belt. Make sure the belt is correctly positioned in the pulley grooves.
3. Install the mudguard and tighten the screws with a tightening torque of 10 Nm.
4. Replace the lower motor shield.

5. Replace the engine soundproofing cover, if equipped.

6. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
