Battery — removal and installation (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect both terminals on the battery, first of all "negative" terminal.

2. Turn away a bolt and a clamp of the storage battery.

3. Remove the battery.

Installation

1. Clean the battery tray.

2. Install the battery and battery retainer, tighten the bolt to 12 Nm.

3. Apply petroleum jelly to both battery terminals, install and tighten the terminal bolts. "Minus" the wire should be connected last.
