Electronic control unit (ECU) — parking assistance — models from 04MY (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. 3-door models: Remove the right rear corner trim panel.

2. 5-door models: Remove the right rear corner trim panel.

INTERIOR TRIM DETAILS, REPAIR WORKS, 5-door luggage compartment lower decorative panel.

3. Disconnect 2 pads from the control unit of the parking assistance system.

4. Remove the 2 nuts securing the parking assistance control unit to the bracket and remove the computer.

Installation

1. Position the parking aid ECU in the mounting bracket, install the nuts and tighten to 4 Nm.

2. Connect the blocks to the control unit of the parking assistance system.

3. Install the right rear corner trim panel.
