Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove the upper engine mount bracket.
KV6 ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, Left cylinder head camshafts, Right engine support bracket assembly.
3. Loosen the bolts securing the power steering pump drive pulley.
4. Using a 3/8" socket, raise the idler and remove the drive belt from the alternator pulleys and power steering pump drive.
5. Install a container to collect the power steering fluid (PAS).
6. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the inlet hose from the power steering pump.
7. Turn away a hollow bolt of fastening of an exhaust hose to the pump. Disconnect the hose, remove and discard the sealing washers.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to components, unscrew and tighten the connectors while holding the fitting with a second wrench.
8. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a basic arm of the final pipeline to a head of the block of cylinders and take the pipeline aside.
9. Turn away 3 bolts of fastening of a pulley of a drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster to the pump of the hydraulic booster and remove a pulley.
CAUTION: Always plug fittings and openings to keep dirt out of the system.
10. Turn away 3 bolts of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster to a basic arm.
11. Remove the power steering pump.
Installation
1. Attach the power steering pump to the support bracket.
2. Wrap bolts of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster to a basic arm and tighten them with the moment of 25 Nm.
3. Install the pump drive pulley on the power steering pump and tighten the bolts by hand.
4. Remove the plug from the outlet hose.
5. Clean the hollow bolt and its seating surfaces.
6. Taking new sealing washers, connect the outlet hose to the hydraulic booster pump, wrap the hollow bolt and tighten it with a torque of 20 Nm.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging the components, unscrew and tighten the connectors while holding the fitting with a second wrench.
7. Reinstall the pipe clamp. Screw in the bolt and tighten it to 22 Nm.
8. Clean the place where the inlet hose is attached to the power steering pump from dirt.
9. Remove the plug from the inlet hose, put on a new clamp and connect the hose to the pump.
10. Remove the fluid container.
11. Clean the pulley groove and tension roller tread from dirt.
12. Using a 3/8" socket, raise the idler and slide the drive belt over the pulleys.
13. Tighten the power steering pump drive pulley bolts to 10 Nm.
14. Establish a bracket of the top support of the engine.

15. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
16. Bleed the power steering system.
