Dismantling
1. Remove the key from the ignition.
2. Carefully remove the top of the casing. Be careful when disengaging the latches connecting the top and bottom shrouds.
3. Turn away 2 screws of fastening of the lower part of a casing to a steering column.
4. Lower the steering column tilt adjustment lever.
5. Carefully remove the casing from the ignition switch. Be especially careful not to damage the immobilizer coil.
6. Carefully remove the lower part of the casing from the latch located on the steering wheel lock mechanism.
Installation
1. Make sure the steering column tilt lever is in the down position.
2. Install the lower part of the casing and secure it to the retainer located on the steering wheel lock mechanism.
3. Raise the steering column tilt adjustment lever.
4. Wrap and tighten 2 screws securing the lower part of the casing to the steering column.
5. Install the cover on the ignition switch.
6. Install the upper part of the casing of the steering column and make sure that the latches connecting the upper and lower parts of the casing snap into place.
