Protective cover — constant velocity joint — outer — front (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work under a vehicle that is only supported by a jack. Always install safety props.

3. Remove the front wheel.

4. Remove the outer hinge of the power shaft.

DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORKS, Protective cover - constant velocity joint - outer - left - front.

5. Remove the protective cover from the shaft.

Installation

1. Wipe the drive shaft.

2. Put a new protective cover on the shaft.

3. Install the drive shaft outer joint.

DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORKS, Protective cover - constant velocity joint - outer - left - front.

4. Replace the wheel (wheels) and tighten the nuts to a torque of 115 Nm.

5. Remove props and lower the car.

6. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
