Vacuum pump — for vehicles with Td4 engine and manual gearbox (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.

2. Remove the air cleaner element.

DIESEL ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY, REPAIR WORK, Air cleaner filter element.

3. Move the fuel injector harness away from the vacuum pump.

4. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump.



5. Turn out and discard 2 bolts of fastening of the vacuum pump.

6. Remove the vacuum pump and discard the O-ring.

Installation

1. Clean the vacuum pump and mating surfaces of dirt.

2. Install a new O-ring.

3. Turn the pump drive shaft to match the camshaft, install the vacuum pump in place and tighten the new mounting bolts to a torque of 22 Nm.

4. Connect the hose to the vacuum pump and secure it with a clamp.

5. Route the fuel injector harness to your location.

6. Install the air cleaner element.

7. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
