Examination
1. The procedure under consideration refers to the removal of air from the entire system, but if the tightness is broken in only one of the circuits of the brake system, then only this circuit should be pumped. This partial bleeding of the brake system is only permitted if a slight leakage of brake fluid occurred when removing the brake pipe or hose.
CAUTION: During the bleeding procedure, maintain the brake fluid level in the brake reservoir between the minimum and maximum level marks by adding fresh brake fluid.
Adjustment
1. Raise the front and rear of the vehicle.
WARNING: Do not work under a vehicle that is only supported by a jack. Always install safety props.
2. Check the tightness of the system piping and hose connections and make sure there are no signs of fluid leakage.
3. Add brake fluid to the reservoir up to the mark "MAX".
MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE, brake fluid.
WARNING: Never reuse drained brake fluid.
4. Sequence of bleeding from the brake system: From the wheel cylinder of the left front brake mechanism to the wheel cylinder of the right front brake mechanism, from the wheel cylinder of the left rear brake mechanism to the wheel cylinder of the right rear brake mechanism.
CAUTION: Use only recommended brake fluid.
5. Attach the bleed hose to the bleeder port on the front caliper on the passenger side and dip the end of the hose into a clean container of brake fluid.
CAUTION: Brake fluid can damage paintwork. If brake fluid comes into contact with painted surfaces, remove any traces of fluid immediately and wash the area with water.
6. Depress the brake pedal several times, then keep the pedal depressed.
7. Loosen the bleeder screw to release the brake fluid and air from the system. Release the brake pedal, allowing it to return to its original position.
8. Gently depress the brake pedal to full speed and let it return to its original position. Repeat this operation until the brake fluid that does not contain air bubbles drains into the container. Then, while holding the brake pedal fully depressed, tighten the bleed screw located on the caliper to 10 Nm and the wheel cylinder to 8 Nm.
CAUTION: During the bleeding procedure, maintain the brake fluid level in the brake reservoir between the minimum and maximum level marks by adding fresh brake fluid.
9. Add brake fluid to the reservoir up to the top level.
10. Repeat the procedure for each wheel in the order shown.
CAUTION: Failure to follow this sequence may significantly reduce braking performance.
11. Remove the bleed hose from the fitting and put the protective cap on the fitting.
12. Depress the brake pedal and check for fluid leaks from the system.
13. Remove props and lower the car.
14. Check the brake system on the road. When you press the brake pedal, it should be firm and have a short stroke.
