Parking brake lever assembly (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the rear console.

INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIRS, Rear console.

2. Disconnect type electrical connector "Lucar" parking brake switch.

3. Turn away an adjusting nut of a cable.



4. Turn away 2 nuts of fastening of the lever of a parking brake.

5. Disconnect the adjustment rod from the cable equalizer and remove the parking brake lever assembly.

6. Remove the spring from the adjusting rod.

Installation

1. Install the spring on the adjusting rod.

2. Install the parking brake lever assembly, tighten the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 22 Nm.

3. Tighten the cable adjusting nut.

4. Connect type electrical connector "Lucar" to the parking brake switch.

5. Adjust the parking brake.

6. Replace the rear console.
