Front retractable seat belt 5-door car (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the seat base trim.

SEATS, REPAIR WORKS, Linings of the basis of front seats.

2. Remove the top trim panel from the 'B/C' pillar of the body.

INTERIOR TRIM PARTS, REPAIRS, 'B/C' pillar top trim panel replacement.

3. Release the seat belt guide.

4. Turn away a nut of fastening of the top intermediate loop of a seat belt to its basis.

5. Turn away a bolt of fastening of an inertial coil and remove the coil.

Installation

NOTE: If a SRS component needs to be replaced, note down the barcode of the new component.

1. Install the inertial coil and tighten its fastening bolt with a torque of 31 Nm.

2. Pull the belt off the inertial reel, install the upper intermediate loop and tighten its fastening nut to a torque of 31 Nm.

3. Attach the seat belt guide.

4. Install the top trim panel to the 'B/C' pillar of the body.

5. Install the seat base trim.
