Front retractable seat belt 3-door car (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the seat base trim.

SEATS, REPAIR WORKS, Linings of the basis of front seats.

2. Remove the rear side trim panel.

INTERIOR TRIM PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, 3-door rear side trim panel.

3. Remove the 2 Torx bolts from the lower seat belt anchor and remove the anchor from the seat.

4. Release the seat belt guide.

5. Remove the cover from the intermediate hinge.

6. Turn away a Torx bolt of fastening of an intermediate loop of a seat belt.

7. Turn away a bolt of fastening of an inertial coil and remove the coil.

Installation

NOTE: If a SRS component needs to be replaced, note down the barcode of the new component.

1. Install the inertial coil and tighten its fastening bolt with a torque of 31 Nm.

2. Pull the belt off the inertia reel, install the intermediate loop and tighten the Torx bolt to 31 Nm.

3. Install the intermediate hinge cover.

4. Attach the seat belt guide.

5. Install the lower seat belt anchor on the seat, screw in and tighten the Torx bolt to 40 Nm.

6. Install the rear side trim panel.

7. Install the seat base trim.
