Rear side trim panel 3-door car (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the rear seat.

SEATS, REPAIRS, Rear left seat.

SEATS, REPAIR WORKS, Rear right seat.

2. Remove the Torx bolt from the lower rear seat belt attachment point to the body and move the belt to the side.

3. Turn away 4 Torx bolts of fastening of the decorative panel to a body.

4. Release 2 clips and remove the decorative panel.



5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tweeter, if installed.

6. Remove the decorative panel. If disassembly was carried out only in order to provide access to other elements of the system, then further disassembly operations should not be performed.

7. With the 3 long screws in mind, remove the 10 Torx screws and remove the pocket from the trim panel.


8. Remove the 3 Torx screws securing the pocket trim to the trim panel and remove the trim.

9. Release the 6 latches and remove the speaker grille.

Installation

1. Place the speaker grille on the decorative panel to be installed and secure it with the latches.

2. Install the pocket cover and secure it with screws.

3. Fit pocket and secure with Torx screws.

4. Install the fasteners on the decorative panel.

5. Attach the trim panel and connect the electrical connector to the tweeter, if installed.

6. Install the trim panel to the body and secure it with clips and Torx screws.

7. Install the lower seat belt anchor and tighten the Torx bolt to 50 Nm.

8. Reinstall the rear seat.
