Rear bumper assembly — for vehicles up to 2004 (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the rear mudguards.

2. Remove both rear lights.

LIGHTING, Headlight assembly - pre-2004 models, Rear combination lamp.

3. Remove the rear wheel arch extensions.

4. Turn away 10 screws of fastening of a bumper to a body.

5. Remove the 2 nuts and bolts that secure the bumper to the cross member.

6. Turn away 5 self-tapping screws of fastening of a bumper to a body.

7. Remove 2 mudguard brackets.

8. Models for the US and Canadian market: Loosen the side turn signal repeater, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the side repeater.

9. With the help of a partner, remove the bumper.

Installation

1. With the help of a partner, install the bumper and secure it with self-tapping screws, screws, nuts and bolts.

2. US and Canadian models: Route the side turn signal repeater electrical cable, connect the electrical connector, and install the side repeater.

3. Install mudguard brackets and secure with screws.

4. Reinstall the rear wheel arch extensions.

5. Install both rear lights.
