Front fender — removal and installation (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the front mudguard.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIRS, Front mudguard.

2. Remove an overlay of a threshold.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Door sill.

3. Turn away 4 bolts of fastening of a back part of a forward wing.

4. Disconnect the fender liner from the rear of the front fender.

5. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of an arm to a forward rack "A".

6. Turn away 4 bolts of fastening of the top part of a forward wing.

7. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a forward part of a wing to an arm of a body.

8. Turn away the screw of fastening of a liner to the top part of a wing.

9. Remove a wing and disconnect an electric socket from the lateral repeater of the index of turn.

10. Remove the front fender.

11. Remove the side turn signal repeater from the front fender.

Installation

1. Install the side turn signal repeater on the front fender.

2. Attach the front fender to the body.

3. Connect an electric socket to the lateral repeater of the index of turn.

4. Align the position of the front fender with respect to the body.

5. Install the bolts securing the rear of the fender to the A-pillar 'A', the top of the fender, and then the front of the fender, but do not fully tighten the bolts yet.

6. Align the position of the wing and tighten the mounting bolts in the sequence shown in the figure with a torque of 5 Nm.

7. Align the position of the fender liner relative to the wing.

8. Install the screw securing the fender liner to the top of the wing.

9. Establish an overlay of a threshold.
