Electrically Adjustable Outside Rearview Mirror (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the front glass guide.

2. For vehicles prior to 2004 model year: Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors type "Lucar" away from the tweeter and move the front window guide out of the way. For 2004 and later vehicles: Disconnect the electrical connector from the tweeter and move the front window guide out of the way.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mirror.

4. While holding the mirror, remove the 2 Torx screws. For 2004 and later vehicles: Remove one more Torx screw.

6. Remove an external rear-view mirror.

7. Remove the clamping bar.

Installation

1. Install the mirror, attach the clamping bar, screw in and tighten the Torx screws with a torque of 6 Nm.

2. Connect the electrical connector to the mirror.

3. For 2004 model year vehicles: Connect the electrical connector to the tweeter.

4. Connect type electrical connectors "Lucar" to the front glass guide.

5. Install the front glass guide to the door.
