Tailgate window regulator (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove rear glass.

DOORS, Removing the front door assembly to gain access to other components, installing the front door, Tailgate glass.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor.



3. Loosen the 3 nuts securing the power window motor and rotate the power window motor to remove it from the door.

4. Loosen the 4 nuts securing the upper cable guides and remove the guides from the door.

5. Turn away 2 nuts of fastening of intermediate support. For better access, rotate the intermediate supports fully counterclockwise.

6. Release the power window from the fastening to the door and disconnect the electrical wiring from the left glass mounting bracket.


7. Remove window regulator from a door.

Assembly

1. Establish window lifter in a door and disconnect intermediate draft from directing glass.

2. Connect the electrical connector to the gearmotor.

3. Replace the electrical wiring clamp and align the position of the power window relative to the door.

4. Install the intermediate support nuts, but do not fully tighten them yet.

5. Install the upper rails on the door, hand-tightening the gearmotor fasteners.

6. Tighten fastenings of a window motor reducer.

7. Reinstall the rear window.
