Outside tailgate handle (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the plastic lining of the tailgate.

DOORS, Removing the front door assembly to gain access to other components, installing the front door, Plastic trim for the tailgate.

2. Fix the glass with a latch in the upper position.



3. Turn away 3 nuts of fastening of the external handle to a door.



4. Remove the handle from the door.

5. Disconnect 2 type electrical connectors "Lucar" from the registration plate light.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the handle from the door.



7. Pick up the gasket.

8. Turn out a nut from the cylinder of the lock.

9. Remove the lock cylinder from the handle.

Installation

1. Install the lock cylinder on the handle.

2. Install the gasket on the handle.

3. Attach the handle to the door and connect the electrical connectors of the type "Lucar" and a multi-pin electrical connector.

4. Install the handle on the door and tighten the nuts with a torque of 5 Nm.

5. Establish a plastic slip on a tailgate.

6. Release the glass from fixing with the latch.

7. Close the door.
