Tailgate outside handle (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the plastic trim on the door panel.

DOORS, Removal of the front door assembly to provide access to other elements, installation of the front door, Rear door plastic trim.

2. Disconnect the outer handle link.

3. Remove the plug to access the screw.

4. Remove the 3 Torx screws holding the lock to the door.

5. Loosen and remove the lock to access the screw.

6. Remove the 2 screws securing the outer handle.

7. Remove the outside handle.



8. Remove the outer handle link.

Installation

1. Connect the rod to the handle.

2. Install the handle on the door, wrap and tighten the screws of its fastening.

3. Place the lock on the door, screw in and tighten the Torx screws.

4. Install the access plug to the lock screw.

5. Connect the external handle rod to the lock.

6. Install the plastic trim on the door panel.
