Adjusting the latch of the lock of the front or rear door (Freelander 1)

Examination

1. The closed door must fit snugly against adjacent panels. The gap between the door and the corresponding body elements must be the same.

Adjustment

1. Loosen the 2 Torx bolts securing the door lock retainer.

2. Adjust the position of the latch in such a way as to ensure normal fit of the door to adjacent panels and normal opening and closing of the door.

3. Tighten the Torx bolts to 10 Nm.
