The filler neck is located in the rear of the body above the right rear wheel. The mouth is closed with a plastic cap, which is locked with an electric lock when the car is locked. The filler cap is a standard screw plug that attaches to the vehicle with a cord.
NOTE: On North American vehicles, the plastic fuel filler cap is not lockable.
The filler neck is made of stainless steel. The filler neck is attached with two brackets to the car body and to the bracket for the electric parking brake.
Connected to the fitting on the rear of the filler neck is a fuel tank breather tube from the fuel tank breather fitting. The fuel tank breather tube has a quick connect fitting that connects the breather tube to the fuel tank breather fitting. The ventilation pipe of the fuel tank filler neck is vented to the atmosphere. There is a mosquito net near the mouth of the filler pipe in the ventilation pipe. The filler pipe is located in a short flexible hose attached to the fuel tank with two worm-drive clamps.
Another smaller pipe is attached to the side of the filler pipe, which is not related to the fuel system. This pipeline is connected to the rear differential and provides ventilation to the differential housing. The pipeline ends near the filler neck of the fuel tank.
