Removing
WARNING: Do not carry or use a cell phone while working on or near any fuel related parts. There is a risk of ignition of flammable vapours. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
CAUTION: Some fuel will inevitably spill during this operation. Ensure that all necessary precautions have been taken to prevent fire and explosion.
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always place secure supports under the vehicle.
Put the car on a lift.
2. Disconnect a wire of weight from the storage battery. For more information refer to Specification.
3. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank. For more information refer to Emptying the fuel tank (19.55.02)
4. Remove the right rear wheel.
5. Remove the wing molding. For more information, refer to Rear Side Panel Molding (76.43.55)
6. Remove the wing mudguard.
- Remove 2 screws.
- Remove 6 fasteners.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
7. Remove the fuel filler cap. For more information, refer to Fuel Filler Cap Assembly (19.55.04)
8. Remove the spare wheel.
9. Disconnect the breather tubes.
- Remove the clamp.
- Release 2 clamps.
- Remove and discard cable ties.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing any components, make sure that the area around the contact surfaces and connections is clean. Close all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.
Disconnect the filler neck from the fuel tank.
- Remove the tamper-resistant cover.
- Remove and discard hose clamp.
- Remove the tamper-resistant cover.
- Remove and discard hose clamp.

NOTE: Mark the installation position.
Remove the fuel tank filler pipe. Turn out a bolt.
Installation
1. Install the filler connection hose. Install a new burglar-proof clip.
2.
NOTE: Align the parts in the position marked upon removal.
Install the fuel tank filler pipe. Insert and tighten bolt (tightening torque 10 Nm).

CAUTION: Tighten the new burglar-resistant clamp until the hex head shears off.
Connect the filler neck of the fuel tank. Install a new clip.
4. Connect the breather tubes. Fasten the clamps.
5. Install the filler cap. For more information, refer to Fuel Filler Cap Assembly (19.55.04)
6. Install the wing mudguard.
7. Install the wing molding. For more information, refer to Rear Side Panel Molding (76.43.55)
8. Install the wheel.
9. Install the spare wheel.
10. Fill the fuel tank with fuel.
11. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery. For more information refer to Specification.
