General information
The major components of the 4.4L V8 fuel system include the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filler assembly, and two fuel gauges.
The fuel system of the 4.4L V8 engine uses a fuel pump installed in the fuel tank to provide a constant level of pressure in the fuel manifolds from which fuel is supplied to the injectors. Fuel manifolds and injectors are discussed in the section "Fuel system and charging system" for 4.4L V8 engine. For more information refer to Fuel Charging and Controls (303-04B Fuel Charging and Controls - 4.4L) The system for reducing the toxicity of exhaust gases is discussed in the section "Exhaust emission control system" for 4.4L V8 engine. For more information refer to Engine Emission Control (303-08B)
