Fuel injector 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the storage battery. For more information refer to Specification.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or dismantling parts, make sure that there is no contamination around the contact surfaces and connections. Close all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.

Remove the fuel rail. For more information refer to Fuel manifold (19.60.04)

3. Remove the fuel injector.

• Release the nozzle.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Remove the O-ring and discard it.

Installation

1. Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.

2. Replace the elements in reverse order. Lubricate the new O-ring with clean engine oil.
