Relieving pressure in the fuel supply system 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Special tool

Fuel manifold pressure test adapter 310-116 (LRT-19-006A)

CAUTION: Some fuel will inevitably spill during this operation. Ensure that all necessary precautions have been taken to prevent fire and explosion.

1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the storage battery.

2. Remove the engine cover. Engine cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

3. Release the clamp and disconnect the purge line.



4. Remove the fuel rail Schrader valve cap.

5. Install the special tool on the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.

Open the valve on the special tool, release the fuel pressure and drain the fuel into a container.

7. Close the valve on the special tool.



8. Remove the special tool from the Schrader valve. Remove container.

9. Place the cap on the Schrader valve.

10. Connect the purge line. Clean the contact surfaces of the nodes.

11. Install the engine cover. Engine cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

12. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery.
