Positive crankcase ventilation valve 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator. For more information refer to Specification.

2. Remove the engine cover. For more information refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

WARNING: Plug all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.

Remove the crankcase ventilation valve (PCV).

• Disconnect the PCV hose.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Release the PCV valve.
• Remove the O-ring and discard it.

Installation

1. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Clear the details.
• Install a new sealing ring.
• Lubricate the seal with clean engine oil.

2. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery.
