Special tool

Key for heated oxygen sensor 310-121 (LRT-19-014)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2.

WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Remove the exhaust system. For more information refer to Exhaust System (30.10.08)

4. Remove the catalytic converter.

• Loosen 2 nuts.
• Discard the gasket.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.

Using the special tool, remove both heated oxygen sensors from the catalytic converter.

Installation

1.

CAUTION: Do not apply anti-seize compound to the tip of the heated oxygen sensor.

Using the special tool, install the heated oxygen sensor to the catalytic converter and tighten (tightening torque 45 Nm).

• Clear the details.
• Coat the threaded portion of the heated oxygen sensor with an anti-seize compound.

2. Connect the catalytic converter to the front muffler.

• Clear the details.
• Install a new gasket.
• Tighten nuts (tightening torque 55 Nm).

3. Install the exhaust system. For more information refer to Exhaust System (30.10.08)

4. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
