Removing
1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
2.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3.
WARNING: Do not remove the coolant expansion tank cap when the system is hot, as steam or coolant escaping from the cap could cause serious injury such as scalding.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system. For more information, refer to Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System (26.10.01)
4. Remove the accessory drive belt. For more information refer to Drive Belt Accessories (86.10.03)
5. Remove the water pump pulley. Turn out 3 bolts.
6. Remove the coolant pump.
- Turn out 5 bolts.
- Discard the gasket.
Installation
1. When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order. Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
2. Tighten the coolant pump mounting bolts. Tighten 5 bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
3. Tighten the coolant pump pulley bolts. Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
4. Put on the accessory drive belt. For more information refer to Drive Belt Accessories (86.10.03)
5. Fill the cooling system. For more information, refer to Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System (26.10.01)
