Removing
1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the storage battery. For more information refer to Specification.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle that is only supported by a jack. Always place secure supports under the vehicle.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3.
WARNING: Do not remove the coolant expansion tank cap when the system is hot, as steam or coolant escaping from the cap could cause serious injury such as scalding.
Drain the liquid from the cooling system. For more information, refer to Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System (26.10.01)
4. Remove the accessory drive belt. For more information refer to Drive Belt Accessories (86.10.03)
5. Turn out a bolt from a clip of the pipeline of the amplifier of a steering. When removing the coolant pump, move the pipe to the side.
6. Remove the coolant pump.
- Disconnect the coolant manifold hose from the coolant pump.
- Turn out 12 bolts.
- Discard the gasket.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.
Remove the coolant pump pulley.
- Loosen and discard 4 bolts.
- Remove the coolant pump cover hose.
Installation
1. Reinstall the parts in reverse order.
- Install the coolant pump pulley.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Install a new gasket.
3. Tighten the coolant pump pulley bolts. Tighten the bolts with a torque of 25 Nm.
4. Establish the pipeline of the amplifier of a steering. tighten bolt (tightening torque 10 Nm).
5. Install the accessory drive belt. For more information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt (86.10.03)
6. Fill the cooling system. For more information, refer to Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System (26.10.01)
7. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
