Removing
1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
2.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the flexible torque converter plate. For more information refer to Floppy Disk (12.53.13)
4. Install special tools.
- Screw in two bolts.
- Tighten the 2 nuts securing the special tool.
5. Using a special tool, punch holes in the stuffing box for 6 self-tapping screws.
6. Using the special tools, remove the crankshaft rear oil seal and discard it.
- Install 6 self-tapping screws.
- Adjust the tightness of 2 nuts.
- Tighten the center bolt.
Installation
1.
CAUTION: Do not lubricate parts.
Partially install the crankshaft rear oil seal.
- Make sure the parts are clean and dry.
- Carefully remove the transport sleeve, leaving the seal on the crankshaft.
CAUTION: Make sure the seal is installed in parallel
Using the special tool, install the crankshaft rear oil seal. Tighten the special tool nuts evenly and progressively to install the oil seal completely.
3. Install the torque converter flexible plate. For more information refer to Floppy Disk (12.53.13)
