Removing
1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle that is only supported by a jack. Always place secure supports under the vehicle.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the left front wheel.
4. Remove the motor shield. For more information refer to Motor Protection (76.10.50)
5. Remove the left upper heat shield of the engine compartment. Remove the screw.

NOTE: The heat shield consists of three parts.
To gain access, remove the heat shields of the upper control arm and brake pipe.
- Loosen 3 nuts.
- Turn out 3 bolts.
7. Disconnect the height sensor arm.

WARNING: Use the included hex wrench to prevent the ball joint from turning.
Loosen the stabilizer bar nut.

CAUTION: Support the steering knuckle to prevent the steering knuckle from falling forward and disconnecting the axle shaft inner joint.
Loosen the upper arm mounting nut.
10. Using the special tool, disconnect the upper arm ball joint. Loosen the nut and discard it.
11. Disconnect the brake hose from the upper arm.
12. To gain access, move the upper suspension arm to the side and tie it.
13. For ease of access, remove the lower universal joint of the steering column. Loosen and discard the bolts.
14. Support the engine.
15. Raise the engine. Loosen the nut.
16. Remove the front engine mount. Loosen and discard 2 bolts.
Installation
1. Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
2. Install the front engine mount. Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm and then another 60 degrees.
3. Lower the engine onto a stand. tighten the nut (tightening torque 90 Nm).
4. Remove prop from under the engine.
5. Install the steering column lower cardan joint assembly. Install and tighten new encapsulated bolts (tightening torque 25 Nm).
6. Attach the brake hose to the upper arm. tighten bolt (tightening torque 23 Nm).
7. Connect the top lever with a rotary fist.
- Remove the tie that secures the upper arm.
- Install a new nut and tighten it (tightening torque 70 Nm).
9. Attach the height sensor arm.
10. Install the heat shields for the upper control arm and brake pipe.
- Screw in the bolts.
- Tighten the nuts.
12. Install the engine shield. For more information refer to Motor Protection (76.10.50)
13. Install the front wheel. Tighten wheel nuts (tightening torque 140 Nm).
