Ladder structure, fixed to the bottom of the cylinder block with 20 bolts and 2 studs with nuts, increases engine rigidity and reduces noise, mechanical vibrations and low-frequency vibration (NVH). The structure is made of high pressure die-cast aluminium.
The baffle housing contains eight adjusting screws for the roof to the crankshaft main bearings.
The connection between the bulkhead housing and the cylinder block is sealed with a gasket.
The casting on the left side of the cylinder block has a channel for the dipstick tube.

The wet sump is made of pressed steel and is attached to the ladder structure with a gasket and 10 bolts.

The oil pick-up tube consists of two parts with a strainer, is located in the center of the oil sump of the oil sump and supplies engine oil to the oil pump. The oil passes through the oil pickup tube and is filtered by a strainer to prevent solid particles from entering the oil pump.
