Inspection and verification
1. Make sure the customer's complaint is valid.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
3. If an obvious cause of a problem you identified or described by a customer is found, resolve it before proceeding to the next steps (if possible).
Engine Oil Pressure Check - 4.0 L
NOTE: Before checking the engine oil pressure, a 10 km test must be carried out (6 miles) road tests. Do not attempt to warm the engine up to normal operating temperature by idling.
1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator.

CAUTION: Hot engine oil will inevitably be spilled during this procedure, so appropriate precautions must be taken to avoid scalding.
CAUTION: Use protective gloves.
Remove the engine oil pressure sensor. Engine oil pressure sensor (EOP) (12.60.50)
3. Install the special tool.
4. Install the special gauge, then tighten the connection.
5. Check the engine oil level, top up if necessary.
6. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery.
7. Start the engine and let it run.
8. Record the oil pressure values with the engine running at idle and 3500 rpm.
9. Stop the engine.
10. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator.
11. Remove special tools. Clear the details.
12. Install the oil pressure switch. Engine oil pressure sensor (EOP) (12.60.50)
13. Check the engine oil level, top up if necessary.
14. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery.
