Right engine mount (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2.

WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Remove the generator. For more information refer to Generator (86.10.02)

4. Disconnect the wire "masses". Loosen the wire fixing screw "masses".



5. Remove the engine support bracket. Remove the nut.

WARNING: During this operation it is necessary to protect the engine.

Disconnect the engine mount bracket.

• Support the engine.
• Turn out four bolts.

7. Remove the engine support. Remove two bolts and discard.

Installation

1. Install the engine mount.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Screw in new bolts.
• Tighten two new bolts (tightening torque 45 Nm), then another 60 degrees.

2. Install the engine support bracket.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Tighten the four bolts (tightening torque 80 Nm).

3. Connect the motor support bracket.

• Lower the engine onto a stand.
• tighten the nut (tightening torque 90 Nm).

4. Connect the wire "masses". Screw in the bolt.

5. Install the generator. For more information refer to Generator (86.10.02)
