Removing
All cars
1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
2. Remove the timing belt and discard it. For more information refer to Timing Belt (12.65.18)

WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Vehicles with automatic transmission
4. Remove the special tool.
Vehicles with manual transmission
5. Remove the special tool.
All cars
6. Install the special tool.
7. Loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt.
8. Using the special tool, release the crankshaft pulley mount.
9. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
- Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.
- Discard the bolt as it is no longer needed.
10. Install the special tool on the crankshaft.
11. Using the special tool, remove the crankshaft front seal.
- Remove the special tool.
- Remove the oil seal from the special tool and discard.
Installation
All cars
1.
CAUTION: Do not apply lubricants to the front crankshaft oil seal, special tools, or crankshaft. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
NOTE: Make sure the contact surfaces of the parts are clean.
Install a new crankshaft front oil seal with the special tool.
2. Move the crankshaft front oil seal using the special tool. Remove the bushing from the special tool.
3. Install the special tool on the crankshaft.
4. Install the special tool on the crankshaft.

CAUTION: Make sure the seal is installed correctly.
Using the special tool, install the front crankshaft oil seal. Use a scrap crankshaft bolt with a special tool.

CAUTION: Make sure the seal is installed correctly.
Remove the special tool. Loosen and discard the crankshaft pulley bolt.
7. Install the crankshaft pulley.
- Install a new crankshaft pulley bolt.
- Tighten the mounting bolt in two steps:
- Stage 1: tightening torque 100 Nm.
- Step 2: Tighten the bolt another 90 degrees.

9. Install the special tool.
Vehicles with automatic transmission
10. Install the special tool.

11. Install a new timing belt. For more information refer to Timing Belt (12.65.18)
12. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
