Removing
NOTE: At each dismantling, the CKP sensor ring must be discarded and replaced.
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always place secure supports under the vehicle.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Models with a manual transmission: remove the flywheel. For more information refer to Flywheel (12.53.07)
3. Models with automatic transmission: remove the flexible plate. For more information refer to Floppy Disk (12.53.13)
4. Remove the SKR sensor. Remove the hex bolt.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the crankshaft.
Remove the CKP sensor ring. Carefully remove the CKP sensor ring.
Installation
1. Install a new CKP sensor ring on the special tool.
- Rotate the special tool to the end of the thread.
- Insert the CKP sensor ring into engagement with the dowel pin.
2. Install the CKP sensor ring on the crankshaft.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Align the pin and install the special tool on the crankshaft.
- Tighten the 2 hex bolts.
- Tighten the nut of the special tool to install the CKP sensor on the crankshaft.
- Remove the special tool.
3. Install the SKR sensor. Tighten the hex bolt (tightening torque 6 Nm).
4. Manual Transmission Models: Install the flywheel. For more information refer to Flywheel (12.53.07)
5. Models with automatic transmission: remove the flexible plate. For more information refer to Floppy Disk (12.53.13)
