Intake manifold tuning valve (IMT) 4.0L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the storage battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2. Remove the engine cover. For more information refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or dismantling parts, make sure that the area around the contact surfaces and connections is clean. Close all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.

Remove the intake manifold adjustment valve.

• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Turn out 2 bolts.
• Discard the O-ring.

Installation

1. Install the intake manifold adjustment valve.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Install a new O-ring.
• Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.

2. Connect the electrical connector.

3. Install the engine cover. For more information refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

4. Connect a wire of weight to the storage battery. For more information refer to Specification.
