Removing
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the left catalytic converter from a final collector. Loosen and discard 2 bolts.
3. Disconnect the right catalytic converter from a final collector. Loosen and discard 2 bolts.
4. Remove the heat shield from the catalytic converter monitoring sensor. Turn out two bolts.
5. Using the special tool, remove the catalytic converter monitoring sensor.
- Release the wiring harness.
- Disconnect the plug connector.
Installation
1.
CAUTION: Do not apply anti-seize compound to the tip of the heated oxygen sensor.
CAUTION: Make sure the heated oxygen sensor harness is not bent more than 180 degrees and is not touching the exhaust manifold and drive shaft.
Using the special tool, install the catalytic converter monitoring sensor.
- Tighten new bolts (tightening torque 22 Nm).
- Coat the threaded portion of the heated oxygen sensor with an anti-seize compound.
- Tighten the heated oxygen sensor (tightening torque 45 Nm).
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Connect the wiring harness.
3. Connect the right catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold.
- Clear the details.
- Tighten new bolts (tightening torque 22 Nm).
WARNING: Make sure the distance (A) between the nearest surfaces of the left catalytic converter and the front drive shaft is 25-30 mm.
Connect the left catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold.
- Clear the details.
- Tighten new bolts (tightening torque 22 Nm).
