Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2. Remove the engine cover. For more information refer to Engine Cover - 4.4L (12.30.50)

NOTE: Removal on the right side is carried out in the same way as this procedure.

Remove the camshaft position sensor (SMR).

• Disconnect the plug connector.
• Remove the Torx head screw.
• Discard the O-ring.

Installation

1. When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Install the sealing ring.
• Tighten Torx Head Screw (tightening torque 7 Nm).
