Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) 2.7L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2. Remove the turbocharger. For more information refer to Turbocharger (19.42.01)

3. Disconnect the plug connector of the CKP sensor.



4. Remove the CKP sensor cover.

NOTE: The TFR sensor mounting bolt should not be unscrewed from the TFR sensor.

Remove the CKP sensor. Fully loosen the CKP sensor mounting bolt.

Installation

ATTENTION: Install the CKP sensor into the housing without distortions. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the CKP sensor.

Reinstall the elements in reverse order. Tighten the CKP sensor bolt (tightening torque 5 Nm).
