Cooling fan belt tensioner 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2. Remove the viscous fan clutch drive belt. For more information refer to Cooling Fan Belt (26.25.01)

3. Remove the viscous fan clutch drive belt tensioner. Turn out a bolt.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.

Remove the drive belt pulley. Turn out a bolt.

Installation

1. When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Tighten pulley bolt (tightening torque 25 Nm).
• Tighten tensioner bolt (tightening torque 40 Nm).

2. Install the viscous fan clutch drive belt. For more information refer to Cooling Fan Belt (26.25.01)
