Drive belt tensioner 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2. Remove the viscous fan clutch assembly. For more information refer to Cooling Fan (26.25.19)

3. Release the accessory drive belt. Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.



4. Remove the accessory belt tensioner. Turn out a bolt.

Installation

1. When installing, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Clean and inspect drive pulleys for damage.
• Tighten tensioner bolt (tightening torque 40 Nm).

2. Install the viscous fan clutch assembly. For more information refer to Cooling Fan (26.25.19)

3. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
