Brake reservoir
1. Remove the additional battery cover.
2. Make sure the brake fluid level is close to the 'MAX' mark on the reservoir; add fluid if necessary.
3. Clean the area around the tank filler cap, remove the cap.
4. If necessary, top up with the recommended fluid up to the 'MAX' mark on the reservoir. For more information refer to Specifications (206-00 Brake System - General Information).
5. Install the tank filler cap.
6. Install the additional battery cover.
Power Steering Reservoir
ATTENTION: To avoid overfilling, checking / topping up the working fluid should be carried out with the ignition off and with a cold system. Make sure the steering wheel is in the forward position, do not turn the steering wheel until the fluid level check is completed.
1. Make sure the fluid level is halfway between the 'MAX' and 'MIN' marks on the reservoir; add fluid if necessary.
2. Clean the area around the tank filler cap, remove the cap.
3. If necessary, top up with the recommended fluid up to the middle mark on the reservoir. For more information refer to Specifications (211-02 Power Steering).
CAUTION: Do not add fluid above the 'MAX' mark.
4. Install the tank filler cap.
Windshield washer reservoir
1. Remove the filler cap of the windshield washer reservoir.
2. Add a mixture of recommended washer fluid and water to the reservoir up to the bottom surface of the filter screen in the washer reservoir filler neck.
3. Install the tank filler cap.
Engine oil and oil filter
CAUTION: Vehicles for North America and other regions - except vehicles for the UK and Europe: The following maintenance operations must be performed every 5 months or 12,000 km.
WARNING: For heavy duty vehicles, the following maintenance operations must be carried out every 3 months or 6000 km.
1. Changing engine oil and oil filter - 4.0 liter engine. For more information refer to Specifications (303-01 Engine - 4.0L). For more information refer to Engine Oil Draining and Filling (303-01 Engine - 4.0L).
2. Changing engine oil and oil filter - 4.4 liter engine. For more information refer to Specifications (303-01 Engine - 4.4L). For more information refer to Engine Oil Draining and Filling (303-01 Engine - 4.4L).
Automatic transmission
1. Every 10 years or 240,000 km: Change transmission fluid - 4.0L engine. For more information refer to Specifications (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - 4.0L). For more information refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - 4.0L).
2. Every 10 years or 240,000 km: Change transmission fluid - 4.4L engine. For more information refer to Specifications (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - 2.7L Diesel). For more information refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - 4.4L).
Transfer case
1. Every 5 years or 120,000 km: Change the transfer case oil. For more information refer to Specifications (308-07 Transfer Case). For more information refer to Transfer Case Draining and Filling (308-07 Transfer Case).
Differential nodes
1. Every 10 years or 240,000 km: Change the front differential oil. For more information refer to Specifications (205-03 Front Drive Axle/Differential). For more information refer to Differential Draining and Filling (205-03 Front Drive Axle/Differential).
2. Every 5 years or 120,000 km: Change the electronic torque control rear differential oil (ETM). For more information refer to Specifications (205-02 Rear Drive Axle/Differential). For more information refer to Differential Draining and Filling (205-03 Front Drive Axle/Differential).
3. Every 10 years or 240,000 km: Change rear differential oil "open" type. For more information refer to Specifications (205-02 Rear Drive Axle/Differential). For more information refer to Differential Draining and Filling (205-02 Rear Drive Axle/Differential).
