Hood switch (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

2. Remove the right hood latch.

• Remove 2 Torx head screws.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Remove the hood switch.

Installation

1. Install the hood switch.

2. Establish the right lock of a cowl.

• Connect the electrical connector.
• Tighten Torx Head Bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

3. Open and close the hood to check the operation of the lock.

4. Adjust the hood latch.

• Loosen the 2 Torx head bolts securing the hood latch.
• Lower the hood and check that it is in the correct position.
• Open the hood and tighten the Torx bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
• Check the operation of the hood safety lock.
• Repeat the adjustment procedure if necessary.
