Tailgate wiring harness (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Open tailgate and tailgate.

2. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.

3. Remove the bottom panel of furnish of a door of a luggage compartment. For more information, refer to Tailgate Trim Panel (76.34.11)

4. Remove the top panel of furnish of a door of a luggage space. Release 4 clips.



5. Remove the tailgate trim side panel.

• Release the five latches.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

6. Remove the panel of furnish of an upholstery of a back part of a roof.

• Release 7 clips.
• Disconnect the electrical connector.

7. Release the tailgate wiring harness.

• Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
• Release the sealing sleeve.

8. Disconnect an electric socket of the top stoplight.



9. Disconnect electric sockets of heating of back glass.



10. Disconnect electric sockets of a lantern of illumination of a registration plate.



11. Disconnect an electric socket of the electric motor of a screen wiper.




12. If equipped, disconnect the best station tuning amplifier electrical connector and antenna cable.



13. If equipped, disconnect the navigation system's traffic aerial amplifier electrical connector and antenna cable.



14. Remove the tailgate wiring harness. Release 15 clips.

Installation

1. Install the tailgate wiring harness. Fasten the clamps.

2. If equipped, connect the navigation system's traffic aerial amplifier electrical connector and the aerial cable.

3. If available, connect the best station tuning amplifier electrical connector and antenna cable.

4. Connect an electric socket of the electric motor of a screen wiper.

5. Connect the electrical connectors for the license plate light.

6. Connect electric sockets of heating of back glass.

7. Connect an electric socket of the top stoplight.

8. Connect the tailgate harness.

• Install the sealing sleeve.
• Connect electrical connectors.

9. Establish the panel of furnish of an upholstery of a back part of a roof.

• Connect the electrical connector.
• Fasten with clips.

10. Establish the side panel of furnish of a door of a luggage space.

• Fasten with clips.
• Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

11. Establish the top panel of furnish of a door of a luggage space. Fasten with clips.

12. Establish the bottom panel of furnish of a door of a luggage space. For more information, refer to Tailgate Trim Panel (76.34.11)

13. Connect the wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
