As a spare wheel, all cars are equipped with a small steel wheel with a tire. The rim measures 5.5JX19 and is fitted with a T175/80R19 tire. A reduced size spare tire is standard on vehicles in all markets except the Gulf states. A full size spare wheel is optional.
Tires
Depending on the operating conditions of the car, tires of different sizes and with different tread patterns are used. Tire sizes are listed below:
- 235/70R17
- 255/60R18
- 255/55R19
The following tires are available: all season (AS), off-road (AT) and sports off-road (AT-S).
NOTE: Inflate tires to the recommended pressure (specified in the instruction manual) only possible when the tires are cold (have ambient temperature). After driving or after the tires have been in direct sunlight, leave the vehicle in the shade and allow the tires to cool before checking and/or adjusting tire pressure.
Tire change
When dismounting and mounting a tire, care must be taken not to damage the tire pressure sensor.
Item name | Spare part number | Description |
1 | - | Tire valve and tire pressure sensor |
2 | - | Starting position of the tire changer |
3 | - | Bus bead high voltage area |
4 | - | Bus bead low voltage area |
When dismantling a tire, do not use a bead splitter within 90 degrees on either side of the valve.
When using tire fitting equipment, the initial position of the mounting tool must be as shown in the figure. The wheel can then be rotated 180 degrees counterclockwise. This will release the high bead stress and allow you to manually remove the remaining 180 degrees of the bead from the rim.
When mounting the bar later, install the mounting tool as shown in the figure. Rotate the bar, making sure that the bead on the low voltage side does not damage the sensor.
Vehicle Recall Enforcement, Records and Records Improvement Act - North American markets only
Vehicles supplied to North American markets must comply with the Improved Vehicle Recall Enforcement, Records and Records Act (Transport Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation Act - TREAD). TREAD specifically requires that a label be affixed to the B-pillar on the driver's side, indicating recommended tire pressures, load limits, and the maximum weight of passengers and luggage that the vehicle can carry in accordance with safety requirements. This label is specific to each vehicle and is applied on the production line.
Do not remove the label from the vehicle. The information on the label reflects the technical characteristics of the car only in the factory. It does not take into account other sizes of rims and tires that may be fitted by the dealer or owner.
NOTE: If the vehicle does not have custom size tires and rims, the vehicle configuration file must be updated with T4.
If the label is damaged or removed during body repair, it must be replaced with a new label appropriate for the vehicle. A new label can be ordered through Land Rover Parts and the label will be printed specifically for this vehicle using its identification number (VIN).
