Removing
1. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
2. Remove the decorative panel from the driver's side.
- Release the clamp.
- Remove two screws.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the steering column intermediate shaft from the steering column.
- Remember in what position the part was installed.
- Unscrew the special bolt, discard the nut.
4. Disconnect the steering column intermediate shaft from the lower shaft.
- Remember in what position the part was installed.
- Loosen the bolt and discard it.
5. Remove an intermediate shaft of a steering column. Remove two sealing rings.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further disassembly if the part is being removed only for access.
NOTE: Note the position in which the part was installed.
Remove the two intermediate shaft seals.
Installation
1. Establish an intermediate shaft of a steering column. Install sealing rings.
2. Attach the steering column intermediate shaft to the lower shaft. Tighten new bolt (tightening torque 25 Nm).
3. Attach the steering column intermediate shaft to the steering column. Insert special bolt and tighten new nut (tightening torque 22 Nm).
4. Install the trim panel on the driver's side.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Lock the clamp.
- Tighten the screws.
5. Connect wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
