Steering gear cover (Discovery 3)

Removing

1. Remove the tie rod end. For more information refer to Rod End (57.55.07)

2. NOTE: Note the position of the part.

Loosen the locknut.

3. Remove the steering gear cover. Loosen 2 clamps.

Installation

1. Establish a cover of the steering mechanism.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Tighten the clamps.

2. Close the locknut.

3. Install the tie rod end. For more information refer to Rod End (57.55.07)
