Filling the amplifier system of the switchgear and removing air from it (Discovery 3)

1. Check the power steering fluid level.

ATTENTION: During removal of air from system in a tank there should be a liquid at all times.

Remove the reservoir cap and fill with liquid up to the MAX level mark. Reinstall the filler cap.



3. Start the engine, let it run for 10 seconds, then shut it off. Check the power steering fluid: if there are air bubbles in it, wait for the air to escape and add the recommended fluid to the upper level mark (UPPER).

CAUTION: Do not hold the steering wheel in the end position for more than 10 seconds.

Start the engine, turn the steering wheel from one extreme position to another, stop the engine. Check the power steering fluid level, top up if necessary.

5. Start the engine, let it run for 2 minutes, turn the steering wheel from one end to the other. Check the power steering fluid level, top up if necessary.
