Removing
NOTE: Note the position of the bushing.
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the muffler assembly. For more information refer to Muffler (30.10.11)
3. Remove the fuel tank heat shield. Remove 3 bolts and remove 2 nuts.

CAUTION: Mark the position of the driveshaft flange in relation to the pinion flange.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the pivot or boot, do not allow the drive shaft to hang loose from one side.
Disconnect the drive shaft from the rear axle flange. Remove and discard 4 Torx head screws.

WARNING: Make sure that the entire weight of the bridge rests on the stand.
Using a suitable jack, lower the front of the axle. Remove the front axle mounting bolt.
6. Using the special tools, remove the axle housing bushings.
Installation
1. Using the special tools, install the axle housing bushings.
2.
WARNING: Make sure that the entire weight of the bridge rests on the stand.
Using a suitable jack, raise the front of the differential.
- Install the front axle mounting bolt.
- tighten bolt (tightening torque 275 Nm).
3. Attach the drive shaft to the rear axle flange.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Attach the drive shaft to the rear axle flange.
- Tighten new Torx bolts (tightening torque 110 Nm).
4. Install the fuel tank heat shield. Tighten bolts and nuts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
5. Install the muffler assembly. For more information refer to Muffler (30.10.11)
